The SmartDTD system (hereinafter SDTD) is prepared to be installed in a container according to the UNE EN 840 standard in order to be transported in the same lift as the rear-loading collection vehicle.

Operators begin the process by collecting the waste bin and/or bags deposited on the streets, bringing them closer to the SDTD RFID antenna to be read. At the same time that the system identifies it, the operator pours that same waste bin/bag inside the SDTD and the waste is weighed. The record consisting of tag, weight and GPS position is sent via GPRS. In addition, the operator can incorporate incidents in the collection such as the detection of improper, defective tag or lost cube. These incidents will be registered and associated to the tag in the same electronic system.
